CAC XP-65 Irabinna – 1950’s Australian flight of fancy.

 

In the 1950’s the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation proposed many designs including this one, the XP-65 Warrior, which was to be powered by a Rolls Royce RA24R Avon engine and possibly armed with cannons and air to air missiles.
A year or so ago Uncle Les made a 1/32 version based on the following drawing and then produced a limited number for sale as kits in 1/72 – which were offered up on the facebook sales page and sold out almost immediately.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/493435828689749
