It was a lovely day today and I’d heard that the HARS Caribou was heading down to Avalon for a photo shoot so I headed down and took some models to photograph as well. As it happened, I didn’t get any decent shots of the Bou, but I did manage some amateur model photography starting with :
The Thud.
This is my 1/32 Trumpeter F105G with modified nose, tail, cockpit and a couple of cheeky chappies in the cockpit.
The Scooter
This is my 1/32 Hasegawa A4E pretty much OOB but with homemade decals to represent a MiG TopGun aircraft.
The RAAF Vigilante.
This is my 1/72 Trumpeter A5C dolled up to look like the proposal aircraft in service in the event the RAAF got these instead of F-111s.
and of course.. without RBF ( sorry Ray – no time ! )
The RAAF N22.
This is my 1/32 Uncle Les’s Nomad in the guise of A18-316 which had an illustrious career as VH-SFR before being impressed in the Army and then the RAAF, into storage at Fisherman’s Bend, across to GippsAero/Mahindra and now residing at Moorabbin’s Aviation Museum. This is the model that featured at ModelExpo this year.
…and in case you’d like to see some earlier efforts:
