1/32 RNZAF Aermacchi MB339.

Here’s a little photo essay of something I built a while ago.  It was rendered up using Rhino, Sketchup & 3D builder, then printed as various parts in ABS and constructed as a model. The canopy was vacformed from a scratchbuilt master and..  well you know the rest.   This was only intended as a “proof of concept” model for my techniques and as such will never be a production kit…  however, there is new tech on the horizon for Uncle Les ..   we’ll wait and see.
So many projects,  only one life !

Here’s the glamour shots taken outside on my portable tarmac.

Here’s how it started – as a file on a screen, then it took form by virtue of an UP3D Plus2 FDM printer.

Some scratchbuilding required !

Getting closer to the end.

It has competed and won a couple of gongs over the year but it was never intended to be a comp model.  It has been retired now and lives in a cabinet along with its siblings.
